Act III Scene 2 Keikou walked around in her room. It was still light out, and she longed for it to be night. She finally just walked out onto her balcony and leaned against the rail. "I wish it were night, so Touya could come. I hate the day and hikari!" she declared to herself. "If only it were dark." She banged her hand on the rail. "If it were winter, it would be dark by now." She looked up. "Even though it was cloudy an hour ago... But it’s light now!" She crossed her arms. "Damn hikari." She heard the sound of her bedroom door open, then close. "Michi’s back!" She ran inside to talk to Nurse Michi. Nurse Michi was holding a bundle of rope ladder. "That’s the rope ladder? That Touya gave you? So he can get up here?" Keikou asked eagerly. "Yes, yes, the ladder," Nurse Michi agreed, dropping it and wiping her eyes, which were red with tears. Keikou tilted her head. "What’s wrong, Michi?" Nurse Michi sat on the bed, her face in her hands. "They’re dead, they’re dead, they’re dead!" she screamed through her tears. "We’re screwed, Keikou, we’re screwed! Damn this day, she’s gone, he’s killed, he’s dead!" "Can fate be so cruel?!" Keikou said with disbelief. Nurse Michi shook her head, looking down at her knees. "Touya can, though fate cannot. Oh Touya, who would have thought it?!" She grabbed a towel to wipe her tears away. "Has Touya killed himself?" Keikou asked, as she too became teary eyed. Nurse Michi looked up at her. "I saw the wound right here," she put her hand above her left breast, "on her chest, and him here," she moved her hand to her stomach, "in her stomach. I saw both with my own eyes." She then started to cry harder. "Two bloody corpses, pale, pale as ashes, covered in blood!!" "Two dead? Who else?" Keikou asked as she wiped tears out of her eyes. "Oh Kensei, Kensei, Plush!! Kensei, my love, and Plush, my dearest friend and cousin!!" Nurse Michi put the towel to her face and kept crying. "What the hell? Plush is dead? And is Kensei the guy you had sex with last night? And what about Touya?!" Keikou exclaimed, tugging on Nurse Michi’s arms. Nurse Michi calmed herself down a bit so she could think. "Kensei was killed by Plush, who was killed by Touya, who is now banished." "Touya killed Plush?" "He did, he did!" Nurse Michi wiped her eyes. "Damn him! Damn Touya! Oh, Plush..." She dropped to her knees. "That bastard, Touya! That bitch, Plush! There’s no faith or honesty in mankind!" She looked around for her servant. "Syaoran!" He then came timidly into the room. "Go get me some sake." He nodded and ran off. "These troubles make me tired. Damn Touya and Plush!" "No! Not Touya! Damn you for cursing him!" Keikou stood up and glared at Nurse Michi. "He is too wonderful to be damned." Nurse Michi looked at her. "Will you speak well of the man who killed your cousin?" She took some sake from Syaoran and drank it. "Can I speak ill of he who is my husband?!" Keikou replied sternly. "Damn my fate! If Touya hadn’t killed Plush, she would have killed him." She sighed. "And you also said... Touya is banished!" Nurse Michi nodded. Fresh tears streamed from Keikou’s eyes. "And that is worse than if a thousand Plush’s were killed. It is bad enough to say Plush is dead! But then follow it up and tell me Touya is banished!" Keikou wiped her eyes and stood up. "Where are my mother and father, Michi?" "Off crying for Plush," Nurse Michi replied. "Do you want me to take you there?" She looked outside as it began to rain. "Trying to wash her wounds with tears? I’ll have none left after crying over Touya’s banishment!" Keikou pointed to the rope ladder. "Get the ropes." Nurse Michi stood up and picked them up, tilting her head. "It’s too bad, Touya made these just so we could have sex tonight." She sat down on her bed. "But I will die a virgin widow." She then laid back on the bed with her arms spread out. "This shall be my death bed. Where death, not Touya, will take me." Nurse Michi sighed and pulled Keikou up and into her arms. "No, it’s too horrible to die a virgin. You miss too much." She smiled slightly and looked down at Keikou. "I will go find Touya for you, as I know well where he is." Keikou looked up at her with hope in her eyes. "Your Touya will be here soon, at night. He’s at Aohiki’s temple." Keikou nodded and pulled a ring off her finger. She handed it to Nurse Michi. "Give this to him when you find him." "Oki doki!" Nurse Michi ran to the door, then smiled back. "And I’m working hard for you two, so you better have some hot sex tonight!" She winked, then ran off into the rain. |
