Team Rocket47's Bestest Fanfic
Chapter 12: No Touchie
Joey was sitting at her computer. It was the middle of the night
and she was logging in the pokemon she had just stolen. Dreana
always insisted on being organized, so she made everyone keep
records of the pokemon that tr47 captured. Not that anyone
really minded, it was just a pain in the bum every time.
Especially because most missions were at night, meaning you
had to stay up even later to log in the data.
But Joey was mostly nocturnal anyway. She used to always be
awake at night in the early days of Team Smak but after she was
sent off to that stupid school she was mostly on a normal
sleeping schedule. Not that it mattered really.
Leaning back in her chair, Joey rubbed her shoulder. The trainer,
who's name was Damian, wasn't to keen on her arrival and had
his arcanine use fire blast on her. She had only dodged it by a
narrow miss and ended up with a rather nasty burn on her
shoulder. They had been keeping tabs on Damian for awhile,
because he had abandoned quite a few pokemon before because
he thought they were weak.
The poor arcanine, who's name was Buddy, had been evolved
when he was only a pup, had never learned some of the better
attacks he could only learn as a growlithe. According to
numerous sources, Damian had hit Buddy for not knowing
attacks like flamethrower when it was his own fault in the first
place.
So Joey had gone out around sunset, tracked down Damian, and
stole his six pokemon. Once back at the underground HQ, she
released the pokemon from their pokeballs to find that they were
glad to be free of Damian. Just another victory for Team
Rocket47.
Joey sighed then looked around the HQ. It was nearly midnight,
so everyone else was asleep. The only light in the room was that
of the computer screen in front of her, and that was hurting her
eyes. She took of her glasses and set them on the desk next to
the computer, then closed her eyes to take a rest, sighing in
pleasure.
A few minutes after she began to dose off, she was jolted awake
by the thing she hated most. With the fur on her tail and ears
fluffed out to maximum size, she picked up her glasses and
turned around to see Tac standing behind her chair, trying not to
laugh.
With a glare of death she asked, "You did not just touch my tail
did you?"
After forming a strait face Tac replied, "Yeah I did. Is there
something wrong with that?"
Joey glared harder and said, "No one ever touches my tail
without permission."
"Why not," asked Tac with a slight smirk.
In an instant Joey pulled her gun out of her back pocket and
aimed it directly between Tac's eyes, causing him to sweatdrop.
She pulled a small switch on the back, then pulled the trigger,
firing a small dart that hit him exactly where she was aiming.
"That's why you don't touch my tail."
He blinked twice, then pulled the dart off his head and looked at
it. Then he looked to her with a nervous smile and said, "That
thing is a dart gun?"
Joey smirked then put her gun back in her pocket. Then she
leaned on the back of her chair and answered, "Not really. It can
fire pretty much anything, including some rather nasty things. I
would have killed you but Dreana wouldn't be very happy with
me."
Tac gave a small sigh of relief. "So why is it that you don't
allow anyone to touch your tail?"
She pushed a small strand of hair behind her ears before
replying, "My tail's pretty sensitive so if anyone touches it when
I'm not expecting it I get really freaked out."
"Oh." Tac looked at the clock on the computer screen and asked,
"What are you doing up at this hour?"
"I could ask you the same question," Joey asked with a sly look,
"But I just got back from a mission. How about you?"
"I couldn't really sleep. Something's been bothering me." he
announced.
With a bit of concern she asked, "What's that?"
He looked to her cat-like ears and tail then answered, "Well....
I've been wondering about you." To her look of surprise he
explained, "All the legends I've ever heard say that there's only
one mew in the world, but here in tr47 there are three."
Joey sighed. "I can try and explain everything as best I can.
Mind if we head above ground though?"
"Not at all."

The two Team Rocket47 members walked through the forest,
not heading in any direction in particular. The breeze still felt
icy as it ruffled the leaves in its path, and gently lifted Joey's
long violet hair off her shoulders. Between the branches of the
trees that were awakening from there winter slumber, the near
full moon cast a shining white light which reflected the small
patches of snow that remained. The sound of a few nocturnal
pokemon arose here and there, breaking the silence that was
between Tac and Joey. As they walked without speaking, Joey
occasionally looked up to the moon, as if fearing it. Its cratered
surface reflecting on her glasses.
Tac looked to Joey, who had her hands in the pockets of the
black jacket she was wearing. After a bit of hesitation he said,
"You were going to tell me about why there are three mews in
Tr47?"
"Oh yeah." She smiled and looked to him. "Well Magick you
know because she was hit by my laser and turned into a mew.
I'm also almost completely sure that Dreana is the mew from all
the ancient legends. And as for me, I have no idea."
"You don't know where you came from?" Tac asked with
surprise.
Joey sighed and looked to the trees ahead. "Nope. I don't have a
single memory of who my real parents are or where I came from.
I do know that I'm not a pureblood mew like Dreana and
Magick are."
"How do you know that?"
"I've done a few tests on my own DNA and they all show that
I'm half mew and half houndour."
Tac considered this for a few moments then said, "That gives
you a nice advantage in battles doesn't it?"
"Pretty much, yeah. I've also mastered attacks that can defeat
the weakness that I do have," she added.
"But not knowing where you came from, that's pretty odd."
Joey sighed again. "I know. I joined Team Smak because they
promised me they'd help me find out where I came from. My
friend found out, but before she could tell me, she was captured
by Team Rocket and killed."
Tac already knew this, but he wasn't going to tell her that.
Instead he pretended not to know about it and gave her
sympathy.
"I guess I'll just have to keep looking," Joey announced sadly.
They walked along in silence a bit more, both absorbed in their
own thoughts. After a few moments, Joey looked up to the
moon again and announced, "It's almost the full moon."
Tac looked to the sky as well and said, "It looks like it's already
full to me."
Joey smiled and said, "You'd know if it was the full moon."
Then she laughed silently. "It's tomorrow night."
Tac looked to her. "Why would I know?"
"Humans aren't welcome in this forest on the full moon."
He chuckled. "Why? Is there a were-houndour who lives here or
something?"
Joey smirked slightly. "You could say that."
"Were-houndours aren't real. They only exist in myths you
know," Tac informed with the tone of a know-it-all.
Joey looked at him with a smile. "That's what most people say
about mews isn't it?"
Tac didn't say another word until they got back.
