Act I, Scene 2 Kazuma Capulet looked out over the busy Verona street from a random balcony in his house, then looked back at Jin and Yahiko, his servant. "But Montague is bound as well as I am, under the same penalty, to keep the peace." He shrugged and looked back to the street. "And for men of our age, I dont think its hard." Jin bowed, smiling in his way. "Ya both are honourable men," he said with his kickass accent (which is hard as hell to do, so please excuse me), "And tis a pity ya bothve fought fer so long. But now." He got a horny smile. "What do ya say to my marrying yer daughter?" Kazuma sighed and looked back at him. "Same thing as Ive said before. My child is still young; not even fourteen. Give her two more summers, and then ask me again." Jin pouted. "But younger women have been happily married!" ("But I wanna have sex now!") "And too young married were those women!" Kazuma yelled. "She is my only daughter, and my only heir. But woo her, gentle Jin, and win her heart; my consent is just a part. Tonight I am holding a grand feast, to which I have invited many guests; you may come as well; one more makes my number a happy more." He smirked. "The party will be beautiful, with hikari from the heavens flowing in. Such a setting lusty men feel with such delight, and the party I always like so." He turned to Yahiko and handed him a list of guests. "Go, servant, go through Verona and find those people written down there, and tell them I welcome them to my house," Kazuma instructed. He then walked inside, with Jin following. Yahiko sighed and walked down onto the street. "Find those people written down here?" he repeated. "I cannot, for I cannot read." He sighed again. "But I must try, for my master instructed it. I shall try to find someone who can read this." He then continued on down the empty street. Further down the street, Touya and Vash were walking. "One pain is lessened," Vash continued, "by another anguish. Become cheerful, and help yourself. Take some new infection to your eye, and the pain of the old will die out." "Your medicine is excellent for that." Touya sighed in response. "For what?" Vash blinked. "For a cut shin," Touya said sarcastically. "Why Touya, are you mad?" Vash asked in an annoyingly cheerful way, putting his arm around him. Touya shrugged. "Not bad, but restrained more than a madman, shut up in prison, kept without my food, whipped and tormented, and" Just then, Yahiko walked up to the two of them. "Good afternoon, good sir," he said quite politely. "Good afternoon," Yahiko replied just as politely. "I pray, sir, can you read?" He opened the letter and looked at it. "My only talent in my misery." Touya sighed. "Can you read anything you see?" Yahiko continued. "Yes, if I know the letters and the language," Touya replied sarcastically. Yahiko took a step back. "You speak honestly... Well, good-bye." He then started to walk on. "Wait! I can read!" Touya exclaimed as he grabbed the list away from Yahiko. "Signior Yamazaki and his wife and daughters, County Chu and his beautiful sisters, the lady widow of Usagi, Signior Mokona and his lovely nieces, Kensei and his brother Denwa, my uncle Ferio and his wife and daughters, my fair nieces Hikaru and Kuroneko, Madam Misao and her cousin Plush, Ayame-chan and the lively Suzume-chan." He looked up at Yahiko, who had been listening intently. "A fair assembly. Where are they going?" he asked. "Up." "Where? To a dinner?" Touya tilted his head. "To our house." Yahiko was holding back a smirk. Touya rolled his eyes. "Whose house?" "My masters." Yahiko had an innocent smile now. Touya grabbed the front of Yahikos shirt. "Who is your master?!" ("Whos your daddy?!") Yahiko slipped out of Touyas grip, now smirking. "My master is the great rich Capulet, and, if youre not one of the Montague, come and get drunk." He then bowed. "See you there!" He then walked down the street and out of sight. "At this feast of Capulets your fair Hikaru whom you love will be attending, with all the admired beauties of Verona," Vash told Touya, looking at him. "Go there, and compare her to others that I will show you." Vash winked. "And then youll see what youve been missing!" Touya shook his head. "These eyes will not see that. One more beautiful then Hikaru? The sun never saw her match since the beginning of the world." Vash shook his head as well. "You saw her beautiful, with no one to compare her to. But at this feast, I will show you who shine even brighter, and she will seem like a nothing." Touya sighed. "I will go with you, but there will be no such sight. I will only go to see Hikaru." He stuffed his hands into his pockets and followed Vash down the street. |
